What is Nouns Defense?
Nouns Defense is a free tower defense game you play in your browser. Place Noun towers along the path, upgrade each one through four levels and stop waves of Grumps before they reach your HQ.
Every tower is a Noun with its own signature move, and level four unlocks its named super: Heart’s Love Bomb, Shower’s Ice Bath, Mountain’s Avalanche and more. A hero Noun of your choice joins the fight, and two global powers, Noggles Drop and Rally, can turn a bad wave around.
Earn up to three stars on each of the 15 campaign maps, chase your best wave in Endless, build without limits in Sandbox or try the Daily Challenge with its own twists.

Leave whenever you like and continue later, or export your save to a file.

How to play
- Open Nouns Defense, press Play and pick a map and difficulty.
- Choose a Noun tower (number keys or the tray) and tap a spot beside the path to build it.
- Press Space to send the next wave of Grumps.
- Spend gold on new towers and upgrades. Level four unlocks each tower’s super.
- Use Noggles Drop (Q), Rally (E) and your hero when a wave gets tough.

Is Nouns Defense free?
Yes. Nouns Defense is free to play in your browser, with no ads and no sign-up.
Do I have to unlock the maps?
No. All 15 maps are playable from the start. Earning stars unlocks more towers to take into later maps.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Drag to pan, pinch to zoom and twist two fingers to rotate the board. A controller also works.
Can I save in the middle of a map?
Yes. Your map in progress is saved when you leave and offered as Continue. You can also export and import your whole save.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Each day brings a fixed map, hero, squad and twists, the same for everyone, with a streak for playing every day.
What are supers?
Upgrade a tower to level four and it unlocks its named super, such as Heart’s Love Bomb or Box’s Colossal Box.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Install it to your home screen and keep defending without a connection.
