Ingredients

Method

  1. Put the sugar, brandy and orange juice in a large jug and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the chopped fruit and cinnamon stick, then pour in the wine and stir.
  3. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight, so the fruit soaks up the wine and the flavours mellow.
  4. Just before serving, top up with sparkling water if you like it lighter. Pour over plenty of ice, spooning some fruit into every glass.
