Diabolo Grenadine
The French café kid’s favourite: fizzy lemonade blushed ruby-red with grenadine syrup over lots of ice.
Ingredients
- 30 ml Grenadine syrup
- 1 handful ice cubes
- 200 ml Clear sparkling lemonade, well chilled
- 1 sprig Mint (optional)
Method
- Pour the grenadine into a tall glass and fill it with ice.
- Slowly top up with the cold lemonade, give it one gentle stir and add a mint sprig. Serve with a straw.
Tips
- Swap the grenadine for green mint syrup to make a diabolo menthe.
- For homemade grenadine, simmer equal weights of pomegranate juice and sugar until syrupy, then add a drop of orange blossom water.
