White Russian
Vodka and coffee liqueur over ice with a slow swirl of cream. Sweet, creamy and dessert-like.
Contains alcohol. For adults of legal drinking age; please drink responsibly.
Ingredients
- 50 ml Vodka
- 25 ml Coffee liqueur (e.g. Kahlúa)
- 30 ml double or single cream
- Ice
Method
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Pour in the vodka and coffee liqueur and stir briefly to chill.
- Lightly shake the cream in a jar for a few seconds to loosen it, then pour it slowly over the top so it swirls down into the drink.
- Serve with a stirrer so everyone can mix it as they like.
Tips
- Leave out the cream and you have a Black Russian. Single cream or whole milk makes a lighter drink.
- Its milkshake taste hides the strength: it holds a double vodka plus liqueur, so drink it slowly.
