Ingredients

Method

  1. Bring the water to the boil, take it off the heat and stir in the tea mix. Leave to steep for 5 min.
  2. Strain the tea through a fine sieve lined with a cloth or coffee filter, or through a tea sock, until no leaves remain.
  3. While the tea is still hot, stir in the sugar and condensed milk until fully dissolved. Make it a little sweeter than you think: the ice will dilute it.
  4. Let the tea cool, then chill for 30 min (or overnight).
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice, pour in the tea until three-quarters full, and float the evaporated milk on top. Stir just before drinking.
