Ingredients

Method

  1. Campfire way: thread a marshmallow onto a long skewer and hold it just above glowing embers (not in the flames), turning slowly for 1–2 min, until puffed and golden all over.
  2. Put a square of chocolate on a cracker, slide the hot marshmallow on top and squash it with a second cracker, pulling out the skewer. The heat melts the chocolate.
  3. Indoor way: heat the grill (broiler) to high. Lay 8 cracker squares on a lined tray and top each with a marshmallow.
  4. Grill for 1–2 min, watching closely, until the marshmallows are puffed and golden. They go from golden to burnt in seconds.
  5. Top each with chocolate and a second cracker, press down gently and eat while warm.
