Candy-pink, sweet and creamy iced milk flavoured with sala syrup. Thai kids (and grown-ups) can’t get enough.

Ingredients

4 tbsp Sala syrup (Thai red syrup)
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
60 ml Evaporated milk
250 ml cold whole milk
480 ml crushed ice

Method

Stir the sala syrup and condensed milk together in a jug until smooth.
Whisk in the evaporated milk and cold milk until evenly pink.
Fill two tall glasses with crushed ice and pour over the pink milk. Stir and drink straight away.

Tips

Sala syrup (often sold as Hale’s Blue Boy) has a floral, bubblegum flavour; find it in Thai grocery shops. Strawberry syrup is the nearest swap.
