Ingredients

• 60 ml freshly made espresso (a double shot), or 150 ml strong cold brew
• 1½ tbsp caramel sauce, plus extra to drizzle
• 180 ml cold milk
• Ice
• 2 tbsp whipped cream, to top (optional)

Method

1. Stir the caramel sauce into the hot espresso until it melts in; caramel will not dissolve in cold milk.
2. Drizzle a little extra caramel inside a tall glass, then fill the glass with ice and pour in the cold milk.
3. Slowly pour the caramel espresso over the top so it swirls down through the milk.
4. Add a swirl of whipped cream and another drizzle of caramel if you are feeling fancy, and stir before drinking.

Tips

• Salted caramel sauce makes it less sweet and more interesting.
• Freeze leftover coffee in an ice-cube tray so the drink does not water down as it melts.
